Writing a story about a murder case, and solving one…Are two very different things. Journalist, Hilary Lennox, is taking a break from her home in sunny Florida to spend the holidays in her picturesque hometown of Silverbell, Massachusetts. She’s hoping to find a story that will both put her small-town on the map and save her job.

When a local is poisoned at a bakery opening, the suspects are unexpected, and Hilary finds herself struggling to balance her innate sympathy for others against the thrill of a story that’s just too good to pass up. Just when she thinks she’s got it all sewn up, another tragedy strikes and a cozy Christmas for all is on the line. Will her Scrooge-ish boss fire her during the happiest time of the year?
