Caitlyn Haeker is excited to travel to Quebec as the choreographer for a podium hopeful pairs team with her friend and fellow coach Dmitrii Kozlov. However, this trip turns from dream job to nightmare as she meets the horrible pair. Marie, a drama queen with a chip on her shoulder, and Jean Luc, a bullying creep, are the worst examples of entitled skaters she had ever met.

She and Dima hope that all goes well and they are able to create a program for this team and leave as quickly as possible. But when Marie is horrifically injured they have to scramble to find Jean Luc a new partner only to have him become worse… which Caitlyn didn’t think possible! She makes two new friends in Stephanie, a humors and tattooed coach, and Namid, a student who helps Caitlyn realize the ugly prejudices in her own sport.

Dmitrii’s childhood friend, Mikhail, brings up memories of both good and bad times in the former Soviet Union. But it’s when Jean Luc is found dead with his own skate embedded in his temple that Caitlyn knows something is truly creepy in the Curling Club!
