About Murder in the Archive Room: A Secrets-in-the-Stacks Cozy Mystery

The anniversary broadcast is supposed to celebrate Wrenwood Radio’s past. Instead, someone is murdered to keep that past buried. For one night, the town wants nostalgia: old songs, smiling speeches, and a “family” story about how Wrenwood Radio kept everyone connected.

I’m supposed to host, play the tape my aunt hid for me, and prove the station finally belongs to the people who love it. Then a board elder is found dead inside the locked archive room. He was the station’s historian.

The keeper of ledgers, badge logs, and access records. And just before he died, he promised me proof of who has been editing Wrenwood’s history, rewriting station records, and deciding what this town gets to hear. Now the archive is a crime scene.

The evidence is trapped in boxes, schedules, and stolen pages. And the same people who always preach “calm” are moving fast to seal the room, control the story, and take the station out of my hands for good. If I can’t solve the murder and get the truth on air, I lose everything: the station, my aunt’s real legacy, and the only chance to expose the machine that has been steering Wrenwood for years.

This time, the killer doesn’t just want silence. They want the record. And if they win, they won’t just erase the past.
