They say you can’t escape your destiny … oh, if only that were true. Thanks to the Marys—Whispering Falls’ mystical council—and their magic-wielding rules, I’m finally starting over. With no spiritual gifts of my own, I’ve packed up my baking supplies, my sass and set off for Celestial Falls.

A town free of magical restrictions (at least, that’s what they claim) and brimming with new beginnings. And if I’ve got to take a fairy god-cat with me? Fine.

I can deal with that. Celestial Falls has its charm: an old Victorian cottage, the perfect space for Heavenly Desserts, and a community that seems normal. Except “normal” is apparently overrated.

Within days, my grand opening is crashed by a murder—and the cookie crumbs lead straight to me. So much for blending in. Now I’ve got to rely on the wizard who followed me here (thanks a lot, Orin) and hope my baking skills can save my dreams—and my life.
