1991 was an interesting year for figure skating. In Jersey it was deadly. Ekatherina, Katya Mozorov, a former gold medal winning pairs skater was found dead center ice at her rink, The Ice Cathedral of New Jersey.

Caitlyn Haeker, a new coach at the rink, was the unlucky soul to find her and have her two best students fall into her lap. Now she, along with Alicia and Dmitrii Kozlov, must lead her top contenders to the podium at the largest figure skating competition in the world. If she can keep Alicia and Dmitrii from murdering each other as they divorce she might be able to find Katya's killer.

It doesn't hurt that the lead detective, Brian Martame, is unbelievably handsome. It does hurt that the mother of her star pupil is a nightmare. And it hurts the worst when Alicia is arrested for Katya's murder.
